ABOUT Associated Contractors of NM (ACNM)
Associated Contractors of New Mexico (ACNM) is a “state-wide chamber of commerce” for the transportation/utility construction industry representing 200 New Mexico construction firms and their 15,000 employees.
ACNM was formed in 1925 and is one of 100 chartered offices in the country for Associated General Contractors of America (AGCA). AGC of America is based in Washington D.C. and represents over 35,000 contracting firms and their 10 million employees across the United States.
ACNM’s mission is to provide its members an opportunity to work collectively to enhance the performance and representation of its members, to promote the respect and integrity of our industry and to improve the quality of life in the State of New Mexico.
ACNM provides a variety of membership services including, but not limited to, workforce development, legislative & regulatory, job-site safety, political action, business development and industry image. Many of these membership services are developed and delivered through a variety of committees and task forces. Most of these committees and task forces are comprised of ACNM members, agency representatives and ACNM staff.
In addition, ACNM works in partnership with AGC of America (Washington, D.C.) to deliver these membership resources not only from a national level but also from a state and local level in order to maximize resources to address the needs of its membership.
