“ Application for Resident Contractor Certification”
In accordance with the new In-State Preference law, which was passed in the recent Special Session and goes into effect on January 1, 2012, in order for any New Mexico contractor to receive New Mexico Resident Preference status from state agencies and public bodies they must have submitted and had approved an “ Application for Resident Contractor Certification”
Attached is a copy of this new application form. Please note the requirement for verification by a Certified Public Accountant of the information submitted. Further, it is understood that it may take up to 30 days for these applications to be processed by the New Mexico Department of Taxation and Revenue.
